I’ve just walked to the top of one of the hills where I live.   It’s about 300 feet from the floor of the valley below and has some stunning views.

This valley hasn’t changed in 2,000 years.   It used to be an Iron Age Settlement, and you can still see the scars of that ancient time in the hillside, when the sun shines.

My name is Phil Ashcroft and as a fitness enthusiast and blogger, this is usually how I try and start my day “Hill Walking” about 6 miles. It’s great for endurance and strength training, if you like walking…that is.   If I’m not walking, it’s cycling the lanes around this beautiful part of South Somerset in the UK where I live.

There are lots of ways to keep fit, as you know like my outdoor endeavours most mornings. Going to the Gym, which has never worked for me, or exercising at home, yeah I do some of that as well.

A more full-on body strength training routine, using free weights such as Dumbbells, and my favourite free weight the Kettlebell.   It’s different for everyone, whether you are just starting to make some time for exercise and your fitness in general, or you are more experienced and know what you’re looking for.

Finding something that works for you in the time you have, that you enjoy is key, and if you want to use equipment in your own home there is so much to choose from. Of course there is an investment to make, and you want to get it right.   Yeah I’ve been there.

Over the last 7 years I’ve spent a lot of time finding out what works and what plainly doesn’t. People generate great results in lots of different ways whatever it is.   You may be looking to lose a bit of weight, build some muscle, or just maintain your fitness in general. I’ve done the research so you don’t have to.

I think you can see by now, I’m passionate about all things Fitness. It’s part of who I am. So I decided to create Fitness Format, and I’m sharing it here. No fluff, no filler.
